The categories included both groups representing the community such as schools etc. and heritage groups. Each group or individual was given a brief introduction and presented with their prize and photographs were taken for the local media and for Nationwide to put onto their Mary Haggarty and Jamie MacTavish at the Nationside Heritage & Community Award ceremony at Holyrood in July 2008web site. The Arrochar, Tarbet and Ardlui Heritage Group presented and their extensive research on the local area and the production of the web site were described to all. The group were awarded the Scottish Regional Winner for Heritage Groups and received an inscribed glass 'Ice Block' pictured right. Unfortunately we weren't nominated to represent Scotland in the national finals in London in November but nevertheless it was a tremendous achievement to be nominated and to be awarded a regional winner.

The group were also given a presentation backdrop which can be seen along with the award at the upcoming Tarbet Gala Day on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
