John MacFarlane & Jane Ritchie.

This is the headstone you have showing in both #37 & #54 positions.

I don't know which one this is but I have already sent image and inscription for the one I think relates to the John McFarlane in the other plot.

This stone reads: "Colquhoun in Memory of:John McFarlan forester, died 15 Oct 1883; Wife Jane Ritchie."

I can find no marriage record and the only children for a couple with these names would seem to indicate that John was well in excess of 100 years of age at his death. Assuming birth of first child when he was 18 his age at death would be 115 years.
