John MacFarlane

Inscription reads: "John MacFarlane in memory of his father:John MacFarlane died 17 April 1848, age 82; Mother Mary McNicols died 19 Apr 1830, age 68; Above John died at Tyness 23 Aug 1877 age 71, for 30 years an officer of Arrochar church; Wife Mary Gentles died 28 Sept 1885 age 64;Son Malcolm died Tyness 7 Nov 1870 age 13; Dau Catherine died 14 Dec 1882 age 23."

  

John (the younger) married Mary Gentiles (or Gentles) 10 June 1850 Arrochar Church. They had five children:
