James MacFarlane & Isabella Kidd Baird

 

Inscription reads: "James MacFarlane died Helenburgh 18 Jan 1907, age 64.Wife Isabella Kidd Baird died 22 June 1916, age 86.Son James William died 18 Mar 1902 age 25."

James was born 24 Aug 1841 and bapt. 3 Oct 1841 Arrochar Church; youngest son of Dugald MacFarlane (1810-1857) & Janet Paton (c.1805-1844) [both buried in old plots #62] and grandson of Parlane MacFarlane (1771-1855) & Agnes McCalman (or Dove) (1781-1867) [buried in old plots #61]

James MacFarlane m. Isabella Kidd who appears to have been 12 years older, on 20 Jan 1870 at Blythswood parish in Glasgow. They had four children;

Janet Paton MacFarlane b.17 Nov 1870 Tradeston parish, Glasgow   

David Baird MacFarlane b.18 Jan 1872 Tradeston parish, Glasgow

Catherine Agnes MacFarlane b.27 November 1873 Tradeston parish, Glasgow
