Tales from Glenloin Barclay Henry was also known for getting his own back on someone who he thought was stealing his coals. To catch the culprit he drilled holes into the coal and filled the coals with gunpowder leaving them to be stolen. Indeed the culprit was identified when his hearth blew up. He also had a houseboat that the family used to live in. The boat sank in the head of Loch Long in the 1920's going down with many of the family's possessions including the family silver. None has been recovered to date. Story provided by Jamie MacTavish - Barclay Henry's grandson.
